Forests are the lungs of the earth and our greatest ally in fighting climate change. But instead of returning the favor, we cut them down. It's estimated that roughly 15% of global annual greenhouse gas emissions today are the result of deforestation and forest degradation.
Stand For Trees is a global and grassroots intervention with the goal to protect forests and restore those that have been degraded. It is in fact one among the easiest options for slowing climate change: It doesn't require any new technological breakthrough - just the participation of people willing to stop deforestation and the severe consequences of it.
One can support the Stand For Tress project by purchasing a unique and verified carbon credit. Each Stand For Trees Certificate one purchases supports a specific forest community so the trees remain protected and offset a tonne of CO2 from entering the earth's atmosphere helping trees to live and do, what they do best: store carbon, produce oxygen, provide habitat and support local communities.
Support this important project and do a tonne of good!
